Manage from your phone
Connect your phone to a staqly running on your laptop and check the calendar, move a post or publish one from anywhere on your Wi-Fi.
Your agents write posts overnight; you want to glance at tomorrow's calendar over breakfast, drag one post to the afternoon and publish another right away, from your phone. Connect the phone once with a QR code; no key to type.
What you need
- Staqly running on a computer with
staqly serve --exposeor the Docker image, so the dashboard is reachable on your network. - A phone on the same Wi-Fi.
Set it up
Find your computer's LAN address
ipconfig getifaddr en0 (macOS) or hostname -I (Linux), for example 192.168.1.23.
Open the dashboard to your network
PUBLIC_DASHBOARD_URL=http://192.168.1.23:8080 staqly serve --exposeWith --expose the QR code uses your Wi-Fi address on its own; PUBLIC_DASHBOARD_URL pins it
for every browser and makes alert links open on the phone too.
Sign in on your computer
Every browser signs in once, this computer's included: open the link staqly printed at start
(http://localhost:8080/#token=...; staqly serve token or docker exec staqly server token
prints it again).
Show the QR code and scan it
Settings → General → Devices → Connect a device, or the command palette (⌘ K). Scan the QR code with the phone's camera; staqly opens signed in.
Use it
The Schedule tab shows the calendar as a list by day. Tap a post to open it: change it, Publish now or move it with Schedule for later. Posts writes a new one; Channels says when an account needs reconnecting.
How it works
The QR code carries a one-time link (/connect#<token>): it works once, expires after five
minutes and gives the phone its own 30-day session, listed under Settings → General → Devices where you
can revoke it. The API itself stays on 127.0.0.1: the phone talks to the dashboard, which
proxies /api/*. Details: Phones & tablets.
Troubleshooting
- The phone can't open the link: check that
PUBLIC_DASHBOARD_URLuses the LAN IP (notlocalhost), that the dashboard is exposed, and that no firewall blocks port 8080. - "Already used or expired": create a new QR code; each link signs in one browser.
- Alert links open nothing: set
PUBLIC_DASHBOARD_URL, which the links are built from.
