Example prompts

Copy prompts that get Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode working with staqly, and see which tools they trigger.

Edit on GitHub

Once staqly is connected, you talk to your agent in plain language and it picks the right tools. Use these prompts as a starting point; the arrow shows which tool the agent will call.

Try your first prompt

Check the connection

Ask "List my staqly channels." The agent should call list_channels. If it says it has no such tool, revisit the setup for Claude Code or other clients.

Write something

Ask "Create a collection called Product updates and draft a post announcing the new calendar."

Put it on the calendar

Open the dashboard at http://localhost:8080 and look at Schedule. Then ask "Schedule that draft for tomorrow at 9 on my X channel."

Writing

  • "Create a collection called Product updates." → create_collection
  • "Draft a post about the release notes into Product updates for my X and n8n publisher channels." → list_channels, create_post with one target per channel
  • "Add this image to the post." → upload_media with media_base64, then update_post
  • "Make the X version shorter." → preview_post, then update_post with a target content of its own
  • "Copy yesterday's post into a new draft." → duplicate_post

Scheduling and publishing

  • "Schedule post_oalirbz67y4m4cqxq5dw for Tuesday 9:00." → schedule_post
  • "What is scheduled this week?" → list_posts with publish_after, publish_before
  • "Publish the draft about the calendar now." → publish_post
  • "Take Friday's post off the calendar." → cancel_post
  • "Why did the X post fail? Retry it." → get_post, retry_target

Channels

  • "Which platforms can staqly publish to?" → list_providers
  • "Add a channel on my own automation called n8n publisher." → connect_channel (OAuth platforms such as X are connected in the dashboard)
  • "Check that every channel still works." → list_channels, test_channel

Schedules

  • "Publish the next waiting post from Product updates every weekday at 9 in Warsaw time, and ask me for more when it runs out." → create_schedule with rule, pick: next, source: agent
  • "Is anything asking me for posts?" → list_requested_work
  • "Run the Weekday mornings schedule now." → run_schedule

Your own automation

  • "Publish the posts waiting on my own automation and report the links." → list_requested_work, then report_publish_result per target

Finding things

  • "What happened to post_oalirbz67y4m4cqxq5dw?" → get_post_history
  • "Find posts that mention golden hour." → search_posts
  • "Is anything stuck in the queue?" → list_jobs with status: failed, retry_job
