Schedule

See every scheduled post and upcoming schedule run on a calendar, move posts by dragging them, and add a post into a free slot.

Edit on GitHub

Schedule is the home page and the publishing calendar: every post with a time, by day and hour, in your time zone, together with the upcoming runs of your collections' schedules. It has its own entry in the sidebar (and the phone tab bar) and in the command palette (⌘ K).

The calendar

ViewWhat you see
DayOne day with an hour grid.
WeekSeven days with an hour grid. Each post is a chip with the collection colour as its left bar (grey without one), the time, the first line of the text, its channels as small avatars and its state as an icon: a clock for Scheduled, a spinner for Publishing, a check for Published, a triangle for Failed. Past hours are hatched up to the line that marks the current time.
MonthA month at a glance, up to two chips per day; +N more opens that day.
ListThe same range as a plain list grouped by day (the toggle next to the view switch; phones always use it).

Upcoming schedule runs show as hollow chips: 09:00 · Weekday mornings · next post. They say what will go out at that time without naming a post yet, because the schedule picks it when it runs. Click one to open the collection's schedules.

The header carries the count and the time of the visible range as a subtitle, with the controls centred on the title row: previous, Today, next, the range, then the view toggles. The view, the layout and the day, week or month are kept in the URL, so a link opens the same page. The grid scrolls on its own, with the day headers and the hour axis staying put, and opens around the current hour.

Add a post into a slot

Future slots have a + (shown when you hover an hour or a day, always on a touch screen). It opens Schedule a post here with every draft in your collections (search them with Search drafts): pick one and it is scheduled for that time on its channels. New post for this time at the bottom opens the composer with the publish time already set. Past slots have no + and take no drop.

Reschedule or clear

Drag a chip to another day (month view keeps the time of day) or to another hour (week view) to move it; a toast confirms the new time. In the post itself, the calendar button in the footer (Schedule for later) picks a new time, and the × on the time chip clears it; saved without a time, the post is a draft again.

Only drafts, scheduled and failed posts can be moved. Once a post is publishing or published its time is read-only; a failed post publishes again with Publish now, or one channel with Retry.

Time zones and history

Times are stored in UTC and shown in the browser's time zone; the picker names it. Schedules keep their own zone (a 09:00 in Europe/Warsaw stays 09:00 across daylight saving changes); a new schedule starts in the workspace's time zone (Settings → General → Workspace). The post's history in Activity records Scheduled or Rescheduled with the time, Schedule cleared, and Published or Failed per channel.

API: POST /v1/posts/{id}/schedule, POST /v1/posts/{id}/cancel, GET /v1/posts?publish_after=&publish_before=&sort=publish_asc for the calendar, and the post.scheduled / post.unscheduled events; GET /v1/schedules for the runs.
